Susan qualified as
a solicitor in 1986. Since qualification, Susan has specialised in
Construction Law (in particular construction dispute resolution),
working in both private practice and in industry. She has provided
legal advice to both private and public sector clients for both £low
value and £multi-million value projects, including residential works,
hotels, youth centres, tunnels, bridges, trains and stations.
Trained in
construction law at the leading national construction law firm Masons
(now Pinsent Masons), Susan further developed her career by working for
the London Transport Group in connection with projects that included
CrossRail, the extension of the Jubilee Line and the London Underground
PPP. She rose to become Head of Legal for a group subsidiary company.
From 2005, she has worked with Chris Hough as a consultant and in 2008
was awarded a Masters degree in Advanced Litigation and Dispute
Resolution with commendation.
Susan is a former
county and national tennis player, now playing veterans tennis for Kent
and club tennis in the Sevenoaks area.
